Idaho Technology Council (ITC) plays a central role in empowering women across the Gem State’s growing technology sector. To do this, the organization creates access, visibility and opportunity through targeted programs, advocacy and community-building. ITC helps women thrive at every stage of their tech careers — from students and early professionals to executives and founders.

“Idaho Technology Council is more than a professional association — it’s a movement to elevate Idaho’s innovation economy while ensuring women have a powerful voice in shaping it,” said Betsy Davies in nomination materials. “ITC is intentionally building a more inclusive future where women not only participate in technology but lead it.”

Demonstrating its commitment to giving women a seat at the table, ITC is led by a female CEO and female vice president of operations. In addition, the association has also increased the number of women serving on the board of trustees, growing from five to 20. Recently, ITC launched a Women of ITC Coffee Chat virtual gathering where members, the board and other staff can gather to share experiences, discuss challenges and build professional relationships.

Last year, ITC expanded its impact in Idaho through the WiTECH conference, which celebrates, equips and connects women in technology. The organization also places importance on helping the next generation of young women to realize their potential. Through the TechBridge Mentorship Program, more than 200 students, many of them girls, have been matched with industry mentors and have received over $100,000 in scholarships.

“Idaho Technology Council’s commitment to empowering women is not just visible — it’s measurable and growing,” Davies said.
