  • and Sun Valley named finalists for USA Today’s 10Best awards
  • Public voting open through the end of the month
  • Brundage previously earned multiple national honors, including No. 1 in 2020
  • Both Idaho ski towns, McCall and Ketchum, also finalists for Best Ski Town

Both Brundage Mountain Resort’s MTN Sports School and in McCall and Sun Valley, respectively, have been named finalists in the 2025 People’s Choice award.

The schools are vying for the coveted list against 18 other schools across the country in states like Utah, California, Vermont and Colorado.

“Beyond private and group skiing and snowboarding lessons for adults and kids, Sun Valley Snowsports School has season-long programs for adults and kids, full- and half-day lessons, and camps including Strong Start Camp, Boot Camp and a female-only camp,” the description for Sun Valley reads on the USA Today website.

For Brundage’s MTN Sports School, the site states, “The MTN Sports School at Brundage Mountain Resort welcomes skiers and snowboarders ages 3 to 6 to enroll in their Tiny Tracks lessons, and they even allow parents who can already ski to join the lesson at no cost. Those over age 7 can take a private lesson ― individual or group ― for a half day (three hours) or a full day (six hours).”

This is the sixth nomination Brundage has received, it stated, for the People’s Choice contest through USA Today. It has won top-10 honors for North America’s Best three years in a row ― winning No. 1 in 2020 ― and it has been nominated three times for the best ski school list.

“Brundage Mountain’s kid’s programs have a long history of offering quality instruction at an accessible price,” said Ken Rider, Brundage Mountain general manager. “As an independent resort, we have the freedom to tailor lesson programs to the needs of our guests, even as those needs may evolve over the years.”

Along with the best ski school, two Idaho towns have been listed as finalists with 18 others from across the country as the USA Today 10Best Ski Towns

Ketchum and McCall are up against others such as Aspen, Colorado, Lake Placid, New York, Park City, Utah, and Mammoth Lakes, California. Voting is open in both categories until the end of the month.
