The Idaho Charter School Network has named Terry Ryan president.

Ryan previously worked as vice president for Ohio Programs and Policy at the Thomas B. Fordham Institute. He led state research and policy efforts, raised and oversaw grant money, and oversaw charter school authorization efforts that established 11 charter schools in the state. He began his education career as a teacher in Poland and worked with the Polish Ministry of Education and the Foundation for Education for Democracy in the 1990s.

Ryan earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Eastern Illinois University and his master’s degree in political economy from the University of Denver Graduate School of International Studies.
