The organization has set a goal of raising $60 million to build the new space and it continues to collaborate with architectural and development partners to map out a facility that will meet the needs of a growing and changing community. Following several recent community donations, the association plans to introduce several new facility amenities, including:

  • Increased youth programming and capacity for participants
  • Inter-generational space to create shared experiences through common interests
  • A Nonprofit Hub for community partners
  • Modern spaces for youth, including e-sports, maker spaces, STEAM programming areas
  • An indoor track
  • State-of-the-art health and wellbeing spaces for both physical and mental wellness
  • A community kitchen with accessible tools for community members to learn life skills
  • Community gathering and meeting spaces

The organization has reached a milestone of $16 million in fundraising for this project.

“During this season of giving and gratitude, we are humbled to reflect on the tremendous support we’ve received,” said YMCA CEO David Duro in a statement. “Community members, individuals and cause-minded businesses continue to come forward with support for our vision, mission and values. We look forward to putting in the work to ensure we build a Y that will serve this amazing community for years to come.”
