Short-term and long-term visitors will have more options for lodging in the Treasure Valley early next spring.
Groundbreaking was held for the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Nampa in early March and will feature 112 extended-stay suites.
Western States Lodging and Management, based in South Jordan, Utah, is developing and managing the property, which is located at 4975 E. Commerce Street in Nampa. The build is being made possible through a partnership Peterson Development and is part of the Gateway Shopping Center redevelopment by Utah-based Gardner Group.
TownePlace Suites by Marriott are extended-stay lodgings with full kitchens, fitness centers, onsite dining and other amenities. The property adds to the other brands such as Hilton, IHG, Wyndham and Best Western that Western States Lodging and Management manages. In total, the company oversees 43 properties with 4,000 units combined.
“This development is an exciting new venture at Western States, expanding our collection of managed TownePlace Suites by Marriott properties and executing on our strategy to grow in the greater Boise area,” said Cole Smith, the company’s chief development officer. “In addition to strength in new development and construction management, our team’s Personal Touch Culture strives to make a personal connection at every step, ensuring guests have an exceptional experience during their stay.”
Peterson Development, also based in Utah, specializes in commercial, land and residential development.
The land for the development was purchased by the Gardner Group in 2021.
“Collaboration is a key element to our hospitality development success,” Smith said. “This project is made possible through our general partner, Peterson Development, and our long-standing relationship with the Gardner Group.”
