Natalie Plummer is a motivated businesswoman and adept social media specialist who understands the importance of building an online presence that showcases kindness, inclusion and bravery.

Her career began after graduating with bachelor’s degrees in humanities from Brigham Young University in 2001, when she started running the social media accounts for some of the Treasure Valley’s most notable companies, including Idaho Pizza Company, Treasure Valley Dermatology, Chick-Fil-A, and Hometown Values Savings Magazine. She is currently the social media creative director for Roaring Springs.

Plummer truly has a passion for connecting people and has also demonstrated that in her work as the founder of Hello Meridian and The Boise Bubble Podcast. Last year, she proudly celebrated hitting 50,000 organic followers on Hello Meridian.

“When I started Hello Meridian eight years ago, there were not any pages like it in the Treasure Valley,” she explained. “Even the few local pages that did exist, did so without a personal voice. That voice seemed important. What is influence without vulnerability? I thought about what I wanted my life to look like, and I created a career around that. Locally owned businesses are people’s livelihoods and dreams. I love the idea of showcasing these businesses to the Treasure Valley so that people know who and what is available.”

Amid being a voice for businesses and communities around Idaho, Plummer also makes time to do work for local entities completely pro bono and loves to bring attention to civic issues and nonprofits via her podcast and her media pages. In the last couple of years, Plummer has focused efforts on Idaho Discovery Center, Ronald McDonald House, Treasure Valley YMCA, Fundsy, LEAP Housing, the Idaho National Guard, Faces of Hope, Idaho Office for Refugees, The Wassmuth Center for Human Rights and many more.

She said, “I have always been impressed with brave women who defined their own lives. I was amongst the first to define this career. I wanted to be proud of my impact and of the influence I was starting to have. I wanted a strong mission and vision for my career and in my community involvement. My hope is to spend my time focusing on building genuine community, supporting local business and highlighting important local issues.”

Dr. Dustin Portela shared that Plummer has become a cornerstone of community engagement and business development in Idaho.

“What sets Natalie apart is her genuine passion for fostering community ties and her strategic approach to business collaboration,” he said. “She has consistently offered invaluable ideas and suggestions that have greatly improved our operations and community service. Her ability to connect with and uplift businesses is nothing short of remarkable, and her influence is visible across multiple sectors.”

As to what makes Plummer tick, it boils down to making people feel welcome.

“I use my business success and influence in social media and marketing to make a significant positive impact on the community and local businesses,” she said. “I speak bravely and advocate openly for principles of moral value and inclusion.”
