Zamzows, in business since 1933, was lauded with two different awards in retail work for lawn and garden care and pet care.

The retailer was a recipient of the World Pet Association’s Pet Retailer Lifetime Achievement Award for being a business that has “made a lasting impact on the pet retail sector,” the company stated in a release. The award highlights Zamzows commitment to animal health, customer education and advancement of responsible pet care for decades.

Along with the pet retailer award, the company was also honored with the Lawn & Garden Retailer Innovator of the Year Award, which recognizes garden retailers that strive for the best in community involvement, customer service and innovation.

“These go above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer experiences, stay deeply engaged with their communities and foster supportive, team-drive workplaces,” said Teresa McPherson, managing editor of Lawn & Garden Retailer.

Zamzows began as a small feed and garden supply store and now has 12 locations throughout the Treasure Valley and is run by the fourth generation of the family in the region.

“Both awards affirm our belief that independent retailers play a vital role in their communities,” said Callie Zamzow. “Our team works hard to ensure customers not only find products they can trust, but also receive the knowledge and support needed to succeed.”
