Sagebrush Collaborative is an artist collective and gift shop cultivating community in Idaho’s Treasure Valley through sustainability, inclusivity and handmade goods. Owner Jess Wagner intentionally features more than 80 local and regional makers, with more than 90% identifying as women or non-binary, prioritizing underrepresented voices in the arts. The business hosts art shows and curated makers markets, building community beyond traditional retail. After facing challenges securing a physical location due to age and gender bias, Wagner found success in Hyde Park, sharing space with another woman-owned business. Recent accomplishments include the “Art as Resistance” show, which raised $1,500 for Idaho Sierra Club, and surpassing 2024’s total revenue in just three months at their new location.
