Showcasing the beauty of the Gem State’s rivers has earned Visit Idaho‘s The 3100 film project its first ever Emmy nomination for its six-part docuseries highlighting Idaho’s reputation as a premier waterway destination.
Named for Idaho’s 3,100 miles of navigable whitewater, “The 3100” series navigates the Bruneau, Lochsa, Payette, Salmon, Selway, Snake and St. Joe rivers through the outfitters and communities they define.
As part of the local communities who live and breathe Idaho’s rivers, they serve as the heart of the project, bringing authenticity and depth to the narrative.
“This nomination is an incredible honor and a testament to the power of storytelling around Idaho’s whitewater,” said Natalie Jushinski, tourism manager for Visit Idaho. “‘The 3100′ not only showcases the breathtaking beauty of our rivers, but also connects viewers to the adventure and spirit that make Idaho such a unique destination.”
Produced by Visit Idaho, the one-of-a-kind whitewater documentary project was filmed by Idaho-based production company Fisher Creative.

The project continues to flow strongly, gaining national and international attention as the series further cements Idaho’s reputation as a premier whitewater destination and a leader in outdoor storytelling.
“We spent weeks in some of Idaho’s most remote river canyons capturing stories from guides and outfitters who’ve dedicated their lives to these waterways,” said Mark Fisher, CEO and founder of Fisher Creative.
“To see that work reach millions of viewers and now earn an Emmy nomination is incredibly rewarding. It started with Visit Idaho’s willingness to do something different, and we’re proud to have been the team they trusted to bring it to life.”
The first-ever Emmy nomination came through the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Northwest Chapter in the Branded Content ― Long Form Content category ― and recognizes outstanding television and media work within a five-state region. Winners will be announced in Seattle, Washington, on May 30.
