JPMorgan Chase Foundation has given College of Western Idaho $25,000 to help the community college create a five-year comprehensive strategic plan.

CWI has hired Eva Klein & Associates, a consulting organization that supports academic institutions in designing strategic visions. CWI launched the comprehensive strategic planning efforts in October and expects to complete the process in May. The school’s original comprehensive strategic plan was created in 2009, when CWI was created. The school had more than 8,000 for-credit students last fall.

The JPMorgan Chase Foundation is funding the completion of an economic development and labor market analysis as part of the overall plan to ensure CWI’s growth aligns with community needs.
