Oliver Russell hosted the team from Global Talent Idaho, along with nearly a dozen Idaho immigrants, for a series of mock interviews during the firm’s February volunteer event. Oliver Russell employees paired up with men and women to help them practice interviewing and evaluate their responses.

“Interviewing is never easy, and some people find it very uncomfortable,” said Russ Stoddard, Oliver Russell founder and CEO. “It was great to help this group practice, loosen up a bit, and get a feel for what to expect as they reenter the professional world.”

Global Talent Idaho is a new initiative that helps refugees and immigrants continue or reclaim their careers here in the U.S. Many of these individuals come to Idaho with advanced degrees and former careers in areas such as engineering, medicine, and accounting. Global Talent Idaho connects these highly skilled workers with local employers, and helps create a more diverse and vibrant Idaho workforce.
