Garrett Lofto has worked at JR Simplot for over 25 years, a career that sparked from a conversation with his parents in 1991 that pulled him back home to the family farm in Manitoba.
Offered an internship once he was done helping his family, Lofto started out at JR Simplot in 1992 as a crop advisor. From there, he moved into his role as president of the AgriBusiness Group in 2009. He now serves as president and CEO, a role he was promoted to in 2018.
In his time at JR Simplot, Lofto has overseen a number of capital extensions and had a hand in major accomplishments such as the expansion of the Simplot Partners retail arm.
Lofto has sat on the board of directors of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Idaho, The Fertilizer Institute, Nutrients for Life Foundation and the International Plant Nutrition Institute.
