Looking for ways to expedite the daily processes in lawn and sprinkler maintenance and dealing with the expense of repetitive work, Kody Ketterling set out to find ways to reduce costs through his inventions. KJ Ketterling Enterprises, LLC, (KJKE) was founded as a result.
Today, Ketterling has created nine products, holds 10 patents and eight trademarks, and has won four industry awards for innovations. The Ketterlings have many family members working for them in various positions.
Despite beginning the business at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic and dealing with supply chain and other issues, flexibility and creativity in production have helped the company focus on success with the goal of expanding into new markets.
The company also has the goal of focusing on green initiatives in water conservation and water scarcity through its current and future products.
Ketterling also connects to the community by providing employment opportunities outside of family.
