Indoor golf franchise opening location in Boise this fall

Tired of bad weather ruining your golf game? Soon, bad golf in the Treasure Valley will only be blamed on bad golfers.

On Oct. 9, The Back Nine Golf, an indoor golf franchise, will open its first Idaho location at 10092 W. Overland Road in Boise at Goldking Plaza.
The 2,500-square-foot facility will offer the ability to play year-round in simulator bays, a putting green and private event space. The business will be open seven days a week, 8 a.m.-8 p.m., and there will be more than 60 courses available to play, including some well-known ones like Pebble Beach. Bays can be used for practice, lessons or leagues.
“We designed Back Nine Boise to reflect the energy and spirit of our city,” said Casey Bayless, owner of Back Nine Boise. “Whether you’re a serious golfer or just starting out, this is a space where friends, families and neighbors can connect over the game.”
According to the National Golf Foundation, around 20 million people in the U.S. in 2024 played golf outside of a traditional course, many of which took place on simulators.
“Billions of golf balls were hit into a screen last year, surpassing the number of balls hit outdoors for the first time ever,” said Wil Bangerter, CEO of The Back Nine Golf.
The soft opening of the Boise location is Oct. 9, but founding memberships opened on Sept. 12 at $203 per month. A waitlist for signups is available at thebackninegolf.com/boise-id and additional information can be found through the website as well.
