The Icon Awards, honoring 12 who have made a significant difference in their fields and the community, and Accomplished Under 40, celebrating 40 people who are still gaining and using their earned experiences, will highlight those individuals who shine.

From 40 notable under 40 to 12 leading legends, Idaho Business Review is getting set to honor those 52 people making a difference in their fields on June 9.

This is the 27th anniversary for AU40 and the ninth anniversary for Icon.

Anyone can nominate potential honorees for their work and influence in their work and personal lives, no matter what their connection is. Mentees can nominate their mentors, employees can nominate their employers and vice versa. If someone has been impressed with a particular person, they are welcome to nominate that person.

After being nominated, candidates are asked to submit applications, letters of recommendation, resumes and other pertinent information to be considered. A judging panel of past winners score the nominees, looking at professional achievement, leadership, mentorship and community service. Based on those scores, the final list is then selected.

Both the Icons and AU40 honorees will be profiled in commemorative magazines published by IBR on June 9, 2026. An awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, from 5:30-9 p.m. at Boise Centre in downtown Boise. The awards event is sponsored by the Boise State University College of Business and Economics.

“We are thrilled with this year’s selection of Icon and AU40 honorees. Each and every one of them shows what it means to be leading the way in their respective fields and how to make a difference in the lives of others,” said IBR Publisher . “We can’t wait to celebrate this selection of Idahoans and their achievements at the event this coming June. It’s going to be a fantastic night of gathering and honoring these select Idahoans.”
