Meridian leadership program opens applications for 2025-26 cycle

A program to instill with the leadership skills needed to guide organizations into the future is getting ready to start its next cycle.

Applications for Leadership Meridian are now being accepted until Aug. 9 for the 2025-26 class which begins in September and will run through May of next year.

“This premier program is designed to cultivate the next generation of leaders in business, government and civic life, the organization stated in a release.

Run by the Meridian Chamber of Commerce, the program seeks to identify those with leadership potential and them give them a path to that leadership through “knowledge, connection and resources to make a meaningful impact in Meridian.”

According to the chamber, Leadership Meridian will help its participants:

  • Gain a deep understanding of Meridian’s history, economy, government and key industries
  • Hear from expert speakers and community leaders
  • Participate in interactive tours and hands-on learning experiences
  • Build lifelong relationships with a cohort of like-minded professionals
  • Join a powerful alumni network shaping Meridian’s future

The program is co-chaired by Heather McMillan, vice president of marketing with Westmark Credit Union, and Bernadette Reisbeck, regional manager for Horizon Credit union. The participant selection process is based on written applications and applications can be found by visiting the program’s website.
