Girl Scouts of Silver Sage recently received $5,000 from the Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund and the Idaho Community Foundation for its Visions program, an in-school program that tackles relevant and sensitive issues for low-income, at-risk girls in the Treasure Valley.

The Gladys E. Langroise Advised Fund’s mission is to support the education and welfare of youth. Visions currently serves 200 girls, ages 9-12, in 22 Treasure Valley schools. The program. led by qualified, trained volunteers and school counselors, helps girls develop competence in a variety of life-coping skills, healthy decision-making and problem solving, healthy relationships, communication and conflict resolution, and personal safety.
